Automotive electronics repair

Automotive electronics repair for Bosch, Continental, Denso and other brands

Specialist component-level diagnostics and repair of original automotive electronic modules, primarily for workshops and automotive businesses.

Common automotive module faults

Every case is assessed individually. Repair feasibility depends on the module type, extent of damage and availability of documentation and parts.

  • Complete failure, no power or no diagnostic communication
  • Unstable communication with the vehicle
  • Unexpected restarts and intermittent loss of function
  • Faults appearing after warm-up or only while driving
  • Partially non-working inputs or outputs
  • No control of a connected component
  • Power supply or ground-related faults
  • Damage after a surge, short circuit or reversed supply polarity
  • Water ingress and corrosion of the board or connectors
  • Damage following an incorrect wiring repair
  • Dry joints and microcracked connections
  • Damaged power components
  • Memory and CAN or LIN communication failures

Supported electronics manufacturers

We repair equipment from the manufacturers listed below, among others. For another module, send us the complete part number, photographs and diagnostic results.

Component-level diagnostics

We inspect the electronic board, power and protection sections, power components, output drivers, CAN/LIN communication, EEPROM and Flash memory, microcontrollers, solder joints, connectors and PCB tracks. Work involving memory, configuration or data recovery is assessed individually and performed only as needed to restore correct module operation.

Service in the Netherlands and shipping from Belgium

Our workshop is located in Helmond. After diagnosis, we provide a repair assessment, proposed scope and quotation. Once approved, we repair and test the module to the extent technically possible.

Customers in Belgium can ship equipment to our contact point in Retie near Turnhout. Some functions can only be verified conclusively after the module has been refitted to the vehicle.

Modules repaired

Our repair scope includes:

  • engine ECUs and transmission TCUs
  • ABS, ESP, BCM, comfort and central electronics modules
  • door, seat, lighting and power management modules
  • instrument clusters and gauges
  • radios, multimedia, navigation, displays and amplifiers
  • Gateway and communication modules, pump and motor controllers
  • selected hybrid and electric vehicle modules
  • unusual and difficult-to-source electronic modules

Vehicle brands

We service modules used in vehicles from the brands below, among others. Names are used solely for equipment identification.

  • BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Audi
  • Volvo, Ford and Opel
  • Renault, Peugeot and Citroën
  • Fiat and Iveco

Water-damaged modules

Do not reconnect or attempt to power a wet or flooded module. Applying voltage again can increase the damage. Disconnect, protect and submit the device for diagnostics as quickly as possible.

Module and vehicle installation

Module failure can be caused by a short circuit, defective actuator, incorrect charging voltage, poor ground, damaged wiring or moisture in connectors. Correct the root cause before refitting, as a defective installation can damage the repaired module again.

B2B support for workshops

We handle individual unusual cases and recurring batches of similar modules. Supplying the device with fault codes and diagnostic results streamlines assessment and helps reduce vehicle downtime.

  • automotive workshops and mechanical service centres
  • auto electricians and diagnostic specialists
  • vehicle electronics businesses
  • fleet service companies
  • used and remanufactured parts suppliers

E-Electronica IER is an independent electronics repair company. Manufacturer, brand, system and vehicle names are used solely to identify equipment that may be covered by our service.
